In Project NeXus players can improve along three differnt skill trees: Tech, Psionics, and Magery. Many professions may focus on just one of these tree while others move along two or all three skill trees. The following are list of professions that players can master in Project NeXus.

Summoner:

  • Players that follow the path of a Summoner can summon powerful creatures to their aid. The amount and type of creatures summoned depends on the player's skills. Players will control these creatures just like pets.

Weaponsmith:

  • A Weaponsmith can construct, modify and repair all sorts of weapons. These could be melee or ranged weapons.

Mind Wizard:

  • Mind Wizards combined skill from the Magery and Psionic skill trees. More specifically they become masters in Passive Psionics and Elemental Magery.

Cleric:

  • This title may fool some into believing that only a melee fighter using magery to heal can be called a Cleric, but any player that combines combat skills with healing skills from either Tech, Psionics or Magery is a Cleric. Some have called these people "Combat Medics".

Beast Master:

  • Being a Beast Master is more than just taming animals to fight or protect you. Becoming a master to the wild life means you get bonuses when riding specific creatures. Many familiar animals will be available to a Beast Master as well as some alien and the once extinct dinosaurs.

Combat Engineer:

Combat Engineers will gain skills in general crafting then be able to build many structures to aid in PvP Battle Fields. Some structures include weapon depots, creature pins, airstrips and sentries. Mages too will create their own versions of these.
